Highlights
Warzone's Pacific map is set to launch later this year after the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
The new map has been designed with community feedback collected by Raven Software over the past two years.
A new anti-cheat system is also in the works which will launch alongside the new map for Warzone and Vanguard.

Call of Duty: Warzone has not received a new map in quite some time with players having to play in Verdansk for over a year. While Raven Software has added map changes to Verdansk across various updates, it is not quite the same as getting a new map. Rebirth Island was added to the game but it is a slightly different experience within the batte royale, as the map is smaller alongside possessing a respawn mechanic . A brand new Warzone Pacific map is in the works and it should make the game feel refreshing for players who are tired of loading into Verdansk every game.

Warzone Pacific map release date

Sledgehammer Games told Charlie Intel earlier this year that a brand-new map is in the works for Warzone which will release alongside Call of Duty: Vanguard. With the Call of Duty sequel set to release on 5th November 2021, we can expect the map to release around the same time.

Everything we know about Warzone’s Pacific map so far

In the official Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal, glimpses of the new map were shown off in the trailer. Visually, the Pacific map is more vibrant and livelier than Verdansk. The developers communicated via the official map reveal that Pacific will include “plenty of secrets hidden within its beauty.”

The island is roughly the size of Verdansk and community inputs were considered when designing the map. There will be new points of interest (POIs) to explore in this new battle royale map. Warzone will also be using the same engine as Call of Duty: Vanguard once the COD sequel goes live in November. Personal loadouts and profiles of existing Warzone players will be transferred to Vanguard once the game launches. Warzone will continue to be free and players do not need to purchase Call of Duty: Vanguard to continue playing the game.

The new map will also come out with a new anti-cheat program which has been promised before the end of 2021. It was officially revealed that the 2021 holiday season and the entirety of 2022 will feature free content for Warzone including seasonal events and more. All weapons and operators that will be introduced in Call of Duty: Vanguard will also be available in Warzone.
