VCT Masters Berlin day one saw 100 Thieves, Acend, and G2 Esports starting off strong with victories at the event.

Day One of the Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3 Masters was eventful but there were no major upsets. Acend, 100 Thieves, and G2 Esports were the winners on the first day of Valorant Masters Berlin and the results of the day’s matches has already shaped what Valorant Champions and Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) events will look like. Acend has guaranteed itself a 12th place at Valorant Masters Berlin and even if the team does not secure a win at Berlin, it will have another chance to be a part of the Valorant Champions main event later this year at the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) LCQ.

Here are the results from day one of the Valorant Masters Berlin event.

Match A2 — Acend v SuperMassive Blaze (2-0)

Acend put on a dominant performance with a clean 13-5 victory in the first match on Bind. Turkish team, SuperMassive Blaze put on a tougher fight on Ascent, almost securing a comeback. However, Acend pushed through with a 13-9 victory and it is now guaranteed to head into the EMEA LCQ event.

Match D1 — G2 Esports v F4Q (2-1)

G2 Esports vs F4Q was the toughest matchup of the night, but G2 pulled through with an early 13-5 victory on Ascent. F4Q responded with a 13-9 victory on Bind with a dominant seven-round win streak. However, G2 shut down F4Q’s momentum with a 13-8 victory on Haven, ending the series 2-1.

Match C2 — 100 Thieves v Havan Liberty (2-0)

100 Thieves did not give an inch to Havan Liberty with an astounding 13-3 victory on Ascent and a 13-6 victory on Icebox. The North American team is one of the favorites to win the event and the team started off strong on the first day of Valorant Masters Berlin.
