The regional tier-two Valorant tournament, VCT 2023 Ascension EMEA, is about to start next week onwards. It is scheduled to take place from 30th June to 16th July with some of the best teams from the region all set to face each other.

After fierce competition across two splits, the top teams from nine different regions have made their way to the regional finals. The winner of this tournament will secure a direct slot for both, VCT 2024 EMEA League and VCT 2025 EMEA League.

The entire event has been split into two parts, Group Stage taking place online and the Playoffs taking place on LAN at the Messe Berlin Charlottenburg in Berlin, Germany, which is a collection of multiple exhibition grounds.

VCT 2023 Ascension EMEA: Format

Group Stage

  • The 10 qualified teams will be divided into two groups of five teams each.

  • Both groups will follow a single round-robin format.

  • All matches played will be a best-of-three series.

  • The top two teams from each group will qualify to the Playoffs.

  • The remaining teams from each group will be eliminated from the tournament.

Playoffs

  • This stage will follow a double elimination bracket.

  • All matches played will be a best-of-three series except for the lower bracket final and the grand final which will be a best-of-five series.

  • The winner will be crowned as the champion of VCT 2023 Ascension EMEA and cement its spot in the VCT 2024 and VCT 2025 EMEA League.
