The Valorant Challengers League 2023: Oceania Split 2 (VCL 2023: OCE Split 2) has reached playoffs after a two-month regular season where some of the best teams and players from the region took on each other.

It features a total prize pool of $50,000 AUD which roughly translates to about $32,611 USD. This amount will be split among all participants based on their overall standings. In addition to this, the winner will also get a chance to represent Oceania at the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023: Ascension Pacific.

VCL 2023 Oceania Split 2: Complete Details

Bonkers who played under the banner of 95X Esports during the VCL 2023: Oceania Split 1 earlier this year, was far from being the top team as it finished the regular season with a 5-2 scoreline, but went on an undefeated streak in the playoffs to win the tournament.

This time the team has shown proper dominance, finishing on top of the leaderboard to qualify for the playoffs. However, other teams are prepared to step up and deliver their absolute best in order to represent the region at a higher level.

Here are all the eight teams that are competing in this tournament, with only six moving on to the playoffs, and from there only one will qualify for the VCT 2023: Ascension Pacific.

VCL 2023: Oceania Split 2 is scheduled to take place from 6th April to 10th June. The league has been split into two parts, Group Stage and Playoffs.

Format

Regular Season

  1. All competing teams will play against each other once following a simple round-robin format.

  2. Every match of the regular season will follow a best-of-three series.

  3. The top six teams at the end of the regular season will proceed to the playoffs. The Top two directly go to the upper bracket semifinals and the remaining four to the upper bracket quarterfinals.

  4. The bottom two teams will be eliminated from the tournament.

Playoffs

  1. The six qualified teams will take on each other in a double-elimination bracket.

  2. All matches will follow a best-of-three series except for the grand final which will feature a best-of-five match.

  3. The winner will qualify for the VCT 2023: Pacific Ascension to represent Oceania.

Prizepool

The total prizepool of $50,000 AUD which roughly translates to about $32,611 USD, will be split between all eight competing teams. On top of this, the winning team will get a chance to represent Oceania at the VCT 2023: Pacific Ascension.

Livestream

The tournament will be broadcasted live on Twitch in the English language exclusively.

Some of the best teams from across the country have come together to compete in the VCL 2023 Oceania Split 2. All of them hope to make it to the international stage but it will be interesting to see who actually goes through.
