Highlights
Global Esports and God Particles have been warned after their match in the Valorant Conquerors Championship on 13th February 2022.
Both teams were accused of not actively trying to win this match which is against the code of conduct and integrity of the VCC.
The playoff groups have been randomly seeded to maintain competitive integrity.

The Valorant Conquerors Championship (VCC) Playoffs brackets were revealed ahead of Global Esports and God Particles’ matchup in the VCC 2022: Stage 1 - Wildcard Qualifier on 13th February. With both Global Esports and God Particles set to qualify, the match did not have high stakes on the offer and concluded with the latter coming out on top in an uneventful 2-0 victory.

Following the conclusion of the match, a few took to social media and stated that neither Global Esports nor God Particles looked like they put their best foot forward in this matchup. Following this, Nodwin Gaming has issued a statement that reveals that both teams have been warned for not meeting competitive integrity standards and that further actions will be taken in due course.

Global Esports vs God Particles’ matchup

Global Esports’ star player Ganesh “SKRossi” Gangadhar picked Yoru, an off-meta agent who is due to get his rework in the near future. It led to Gangadhar ending up with a 0.76 KD against God Particles. In his previous matchup against God Particles during the event, he was at the top of the leaderboard with 50 kills. In last night’s matchup, he ended up at the bottom of his team’s scoreboard.

While it’s common for anyone to have a bad day in any form of competitive sport, Gangadhar’s choice to pick Yoru and coincidentally putting on his worst performance at the event raised eyebrows. VCC caster Nikhil "Sieh" Bhansali revealed after the game that the brackets announced are not final which added even more confusion to the mix.

Nodwin Gaming issues statement on Global Esports and God Particles

Nodwin Gaming responded to the incident by posting a statement on its official social media accounts. After an investigation, Nodwin concluded that God Particles and Global Esports did not meet competitive integrity standards as stated in the Valorant Global Competition policy code.

The company also noted that both teams were warned and that further action would be taken later. The VCC brackets have also been randomly seeded to maintain integrity.
