Highlights
Valorant's 4.07 update introduces a few weapon nerfs but agents have been left completely untouched.
New servers have been added for Latin America to offer lower latency to players in the region.
The game also has better inactivity detection systems in the new update which will lead to more punishment for AFK players.

Riot Games dropped update 4.07 for Valorant with brand new Latin America servers, which should help with latency in the region. In addition to the new servers, the Bulldog and Stinger received some nerfs but there are no agent changes in the new update. Inactivity detection has also been improved which should result in your AFK (Away From Keyboard) teammates getting punished a lot more often. Here is everything you need to know about the new update.

Valorant update 4.07 weapon changes

Bulldog and Stinger now delay firing inputs while bringing up the weapon to aim down sights (ADS). The change prevents you from getting burst mode accuracy improvements before they finish raising your weapon. Players can still start firing immediately while switching back to full auto/hip fire mode.

Ability-based weapons can now also be input-queued to equip after the current action. The change affects Chamber's guns and ultimates for Neon, Jett, and Raze.

The load times for Valorant Points (VP) purchases should now be faster. Prior to the update, it would take up to 30 seconds for purchases to process.

Valorant patch 4.07 social updates

The new update has new detection systems for different AFK-like behaviors in rotating game modes. Riot also included a reminder in the update that discriminatory behavior is not tolerated in VALORANT, and if brought to attention, the publisher will be reviewing the incidents on a case-by-case basis and determining an appropriate punishment accordingly. Riot will also be updating its Code of Conduct to be more specific and avoid any misinterpretation.

Other changes

  • Fixed a bug where Yoru could use a weapon immediately at the end of his ultimate by exploiting an unwanted interaction with ropes

  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to defuse the Spike while channeling abilities

  • Skye’s Seekers can once again break through the destructible doors on Ascent

  • Fixed a bug where comms-restricted players could not listen to team voice chat

  • Fixed a bug where players were not always immediately removed from the game after being banned

In addition to the above changes Riot also addressed an issue where performance bonuses were being awarded incorrectly in the game’s competitive mode. There will be no change made to players’ existing competitive rating as a result of the change but future matches will accurately calculate how many points you gain or lose.
