Valorant Masters Copenhagen format explained

Masters Copenhagen is the second event of the 2022 VALORANT Champions Tour and the final opportunity for teams to secure points before the Last Chance Qualifiers later this year. Thousands of teams have been competing through seven regional VCT competitions for a chance to qualify for Masters Copenhagen.

The tournament will begin with double elimination, GSL-style group play, followed by an eight-team double-elimination bracket. The top four teams were seeded in the bracket, while the remaining eight teams were drawn into two groups based on a combination of their respective final placements at Challenger events and the strength of their region.

The groups are as follows:

  • Group A - Optic Gaming, Guild Esports, LOUD, KRÜ Esports

  • Group B - FunPlus Phoenix, XERXIA, DRX, NORTHEPTION

After the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to meet the top four seeded teams in the double-elimination stage. FNATIC, XSET, Leviatan, and Paper Rex are the four top-seeded teams that will bypass the GSL stage altogether.
