GodSquad (Global Esports) has been eliminated from the Valorant India Invitational on the basis of overall round difference.
GodSquad managed to win both their group-stage matches today against Bleed Esports and BOOM Esports.
GodSquad will be next seen in action at the upcoming Skyesports SEA Championship for which they will be travelling to Bangkok, Thailand.

Tragedy struck GodSquad (Global Esports) at the ongoing Valorant India Invitational as they missed out on a playoff spot due to a difference of just four rounds across all group-stage matches.

Such was their luck on the final day of the group stage that despite winning consecutive matches against Bleed Esports (13-10) and BOOM Esports (13-6), GodSquad was unable able to reach the semifinals where the team would have potentially gone up against the European mix of Team Heretics.

Bhavin "HellrangeR" Kotwani, captain of the current lineup was disheartened that despite coming this close they were knocked out based on round difference, but he was still proud of his team, "First time ever we got to play these teams on LAN and this is where we thrive."

Valorant India Invitational: GodSquad barely miss out on a spot in the playoffs due to overall round difference

The Valorant lineup of Global Esports is currently competing in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Offseason tournaments under the banner of GodSquad and have delivered probably one of the best performances by an Indian team in an international LAN so far.

The team came so close to reaching the Playoffs, winning two out of their three matches. Unfortunately, the overall round difference was not big enough in comparison to that of Paper Rex and Bleed Esports.

All three teams in 'Group-B' finished with an overall '2-1' scoreline, forcing round difference to be taken into consideration and this resulted in Paper Rex and Bleed Esports proceeding ahead to the Playoffs.

Paper Rex lost to Bleed, Bleed lost to GodSquad, and GodSquad lost to Paper Rex - a perfect loop, similar to the one noticed in 'Group-A' where RRQ lost to Heretics, Heretics lost to Secret, and Secret lost to RRQ.

Global Esports eliminated from Valorant India Invitational due to round difference

Team Heretics and Team Secret have qualified for the Playoffs through 'Group-A' and they have been joined by Paper Rex and Bleed Esports from 'Group-B'.

While Heretics take on Bleed, Secret will go up against Paper Rex, both the semifinal matches taking place today itself following a best-of-three format and the winners proceeding to the grand finals set to take place tomorrow alongside Sunburn Arena featuring DJ Snake.
