Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 is right around the corner and scheduled to be released in less than a week. The community is excited to try out all the new features that it will bring along, including a new battle pass and an assortment of skins, items, bundles, events, and much more.

This comes as the current Episode 8 Act 1, which was released on 9th January 2024, nears its conclusion after enjoying a successful run that presented players with a new sniper rifle called Outlaw, the origin story of Omen, the highly-anticipated Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Team Capsules, and a lot of other game related changes.

The only question that now remains to be answered is when does Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 start? How much time will players get to enjoy all its features and complete the new battle pass?


When Will Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 Start?

Episode 8 Act 1 is about to complete after two months of its release and the excitement has started to build up for the upcoming Episode 8 Act 2, scheduled to come out in a few days.

This also means that the current battle pass is about to expire, paving the way for another one to replace it, stacked with new skins, items, and Radianite points.

No leaks have been made so far about the next battle pass and we have limited information to offer on that front, but at least we know when the next season will start and some of the changes that it will bring along.


While no official announcement has been made, we have been able to find out when Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 will be released based on the in-game information available about the expiry date of the current battle pass.

As for the ongoing Episode 8 Act 1, it started on 9th January 2024, Tuesday and is expected to conclude on 5th March 2024, Tuesday, running for a total duration of 56 days.

A few things that players are keenly looking forward to with the introduction of Episode 8 Act 2 are as follows,

  • A new Controller Agent called SmokeDancer will be joining the existing cohort. Not much is known about this character at this point but a Player Card available in Episode 8 Act 1 has stirred quite the excitement across the community.

  • Recent leaks suggest that SmokeDancer will be introduced to everyone at the Grand Final of the upcoming VCT 2024 Masters Madrid, scheduled to take place on 24th March 2024, Sunday.

  • Valorant will also be introducing a slew of changes to Premier Stage E8A2 to enhance the user experience including rematch protection, playoff results, no more enrollments, immediate division placement, and zone flexibility.

Apart from this, players can expect the usual stuff like a new battle pass, couple of bundles, celebratory events, and much more. No official announcements have been made by Riot Games or Valorant, but they will be done shortly unless anything gets delayed.
