Highlights
Team Acend and Vivo Keyd restarted a Valorant Champions game that was called off due to an exploit used by a Vivo player.
Despite being awarded a 7-0 lead in the fresh match, Acend had a hard time competing against an aggressive Vivo squad that wanted to make it to the playoffs.
Acend won the series 2-1 and will be facing off against Team Envy tonight in a bid to qualify for the playoffs.

Team Acend completed the longest match in Valorant history after taking out Vivo Keyd 13-10 on Day 5 of Valorant Champions. The matchup was drawn into controversy after Vivo Keyd used questionable exploits involving Cypher’s camera placements. After the game was paused for two days, it resumed with Acend being awarded a 7-0 lead.

Riot Games ruled that Vivo Keyd exploited Cypher camera placements and it broke Valorant’s Global Competition policy. The publisher determined that Vivo Keyd should have forfeited only three rounds to Acend as the team won three out of the six rounds it used the exploit in. After adjustments were made, it set the final score to 12-10 which was not enough to determine a winner. Instead, Riot Games made both teams replay the game which ended up going in Acend’s favor.

Valorant Champions Day 5 - Acend vs Vivo Keyd Recap

Acend vs Vivo Keyd Match 1 - Icebox (Vivo won 13-9)

The first map was highly competitive with both teams being deadlocked 6-6 in the first half. But Brazilian team Vivo Keyd managed to pull through thanks to clutch plays by Olavo “heat” Marcelo.

Acend vs Vivo Keyd Match 2 - Bind (Acend won 13-3)

Aleksander “zeek” Zygmunt and Aleksander “cNed” Zygmunt came to the rescue for Acend after a disappointing first game. The duo managed to secure crucial kills and helped the team end 9-3 in the first half. As soon as the second half started, zeek and cNed did not give Vivo any breathing room and ended the game with four quick round wins.

Acend vs Vivo Keyd Match 3 - Breeze (Acend won 13-10)

The original result was discarded and Acend went up against Vivo in a fresh match last night with a 7-0 lead awarded to the team. Despite getting such a huge advantage, Acend almost lost the game. Vivo did not want to let the controversy affect its composure and the players put on a great performance to almost win the match despite being seven rounds down right at the start.

Acend will be moving on to the playoffs and will be going up against Team Envy tonight in the Winners’ Match bracket.
