Team Liquid went up against KRÜ Esports on Day Two of Valorant Champions and it ended up being a one-sided affair. Liquid’s Travis "L1NK" Mendoza was on fire with a brilliant ace in the first game as well as multiple standout plays from Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom to shut down KRU with two back-to-back map wins.
Valorant Champions Day 2 Recap: Team Liquid vs KRÜ Esports (Liquid won 2-0)
Map 1 - Haven (Liquid won 13-5)
L1NK’s ace in round 6 followed up by a triple from ScreaM was all Liquid needed to assert dominance in the first map. Liquid was dominant throughout the match and did not give any breathing room to KRÜ. The European team ended up demolishing KRU 13-5 and the situation did not get any better for KRU in the next game either.
Map 2 - Ascent (Liquid won 13-8)
Liquid continued to dominate the second game and started off strong with a 9-3 scoreline in the first half. KRU finally managed to show some resilience but it was too little too late as Liquid secured the game with four more round wins.
Team Liquid will go up against Sentinels on 6th December 2021 while KRU will have to make its way out of the elimination bracket on 7th December 2021.
