NODWIN Gaming in partnership with Riot Games has announced the OMEN Valorant Challengers South Asia 2024 to kick start the new competitive season.

This tournament will pave the way for a South Asian team to climb the ladder up to Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Ascension 2024: Pacific, where they will go up against some of the finest Valorant teams the APAC (Asia Pacific) region has to offer.

After the success of India's first-ever, publisher-backed Valorant tournament, Convergence 2023, Riot aims to offer fans an unparalleled experience by immersing them in unmatched excitement and action.


OMEN Valorant Challengers South Asia 2024 Announced by NODWIN Gaming and Riot Games

OMEN Valorant Challengers South Asia 2024 will feature a total prize pool of $130,000 USD, which roughly translates to INR 1,08,08,207. This will be divided between the various events that will be held from February to July.

This year the tournament will be following a new dual-split format in a bid to enhance the overall competitiveness while also presenting players and teams with a multitude of opportunities to display their skills at the highest level in South Asia.

The upgraded format aims to add extra excitement and strategic depth to the tournament, offering fans an extended period of exhilarating Valorant esports action.


Valorant Challengers South Asia 2024: Format

The first event, Split 1, will now consist of two cups, Cup 1 and Cup 2. After this a Relegation/Promotion event will be played out. This will be followed by Split 2, and then the final event, Split 2 Playoffs will take place, with the winners directly qualifying for VCT Ascension 2024: Pacific.

Both, Cup 1 and Cup 2, will take place offline in front of a live audience. Teams will accumulate points across both these events, based on which the slots for Split 2 will be filled out.

In addition to this, an official transfer window will open between Cup 1 and Cup 2 which will allow teams to make strategic roster changes in an attempt to bolster their lineups.

Valorant Challengers South Asia 2024: Tournament Format

Talking about the upcoming Relegation/Promotion system which has been incorporated into the tournament flow, post-completion of Split 1, the two bottom-ranked teams will compete against Premier rivals to secure a spot in the main event of Split 2.

Valorant Challengers South Asia 2024: Registration Details

The registrations for the open qualifiers started on 17th January and are open till 21st January, one day before the qualifiers begin. Those interested can visit the official registration website - VCT NODWIN Gaming.

Just keep in mind the following registration requirements for a team or player.

  • The minimum individual rank should be Immortal 3 or above.

  • Apart from this, even a previous season contender rank in Premier would suffice.
