Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar revealed that he is no longer interested in playing Apex Legends anymore. The streamer ditched Warzone in favor of Apex Legends last month and joined the likes of Nicholas “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff and Jack "CouRage" Dunlop. But after YouTube signed Tim as part of an exclusivity deal, he no longer wants to play Apex Legends. He is finally reunited with Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm IV and can play with him as they are now on the same platform. He was previously unable to stream with Doc due to Twitch regulations preventing content creators from playing with banned streamers.

Why will TimTheTatman no longer play Apex Legends

Dr Disrespect and TimTheTatman were discussing battle royales on streams and Tim revealed that he enjoys playing Warzone more. He revealed that after trying out Apex Legends, he felt that EA’s battle royale rewards a slower playstyle. Even though Doc said that Tim should consider staying on the “Apex Legends hype train”, Tim responded with a “no.”

He said, “I don’t want to get two KP, rotate, go to the little beacon, find where the last circle is, wait until the last two teams fight. Then all of a sudden you have to start fighting.” Unlike a lot of other battle royales, Apex Legends has a ranked system and rewards both kills and ranks. And the best way to get a large amount of Ranked Points (RP) per game is by being one of the last teams alive and securing six combined kills or assists. That is considered the optimal way to play.

The game does not reward any kill points (KP) beyond six kills or assists, which incentivizes players to take fights very carefully or simply camp it out once they have sufficient KP. This system does not sit well with Tim. He said “I don’t get the Doc. He’s all about violence, speed, momentum. Apex is get a kill, then just focus on rotating. There’s no violence, speed. There’s no momentum!”

He also complained about the shield swap system, which essentially allows players to pull out a body shield from a dead enemy’s death box to get full shields. It looks like Tim will continue to play Warzone as it is his game of choice for now.
