Team Villainous Crowned The Champion of Red Bull Campus Clutch 2022 India Finals

The final of Red Bull Campus Clutch Valorant India took place on 24th September at Dublin Square, Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla in Mumbai. This marked the conclusion of a month-long competition featuring some of the best collegiate teams in the country. Four teams made it to the finals: Team Anaadi, Team Only Friends, Team Pugstars, Team Villainous but after the Grand finals, only one stood tall. Team Villainous secured the victory and booked itself a place in the World final in Brazil and a shot at the lion’s share of the $19.68 Thousand USD prize pool.

Red Bull Campus Clutch India Finals Recap

The semi-finals of the tournament were set to be played in a best-of-one format and the grand final in a best-of-three format. However, later, all the matches were played in a best-of-one format. Furthermore, the event was a ‘live audience exclusive LAN event.’ The World Final will be held in Brazil in December of this year, and the champions of this competition will earn an all-inclusive trip there to compete against the best collegiate level Valorant teams from all over the world.

Campus Clutch India Semi-Final 1

Semi-final 1 took place between Team Anaadi and Team Only Friends on Breeze. Team Anaadi defeated Team Only Friends with a score line of 13-7 and secured itself a slot in the grand finals. On the other hand, Team Only Friends was eliminated from the tournament.

Campus Clutch India Semi-Final 2

Semi-final 1 took place between Team Pugstars and Team Villainous on Ascent. Team Villainous defeated Team Pugstars to secure itself a slot in the grand finals. On the other hand, Team Pugstars was eliminated from the tournament.

Campus Clutch India Grand Final

The grand final was set to take place in a best-of-three format, but later on, it was changed to a best-of-one format. Both the winning teams of the semi-finals, Team Anaadi and Team Villainous, fought in the Grand Finals for the all-inclusive trip to compete against the best collegiate-level Valorant teams. Team Villainous defeated Team Anaadi on Icebox to become the champions of the event. All the players of Team Villainous will travel to Brazil in December this year to compete on a global scale.

Collegiate events help build the esports circuit at a grassroot level and play a big part in legitimising the industry in the eyes of the general public. The Red Bull Campus Clutch 2022 is the largest such event in India and is on its way of establishing itself as a major annual tournament in the country.
