Tata Motors Enters Indian Esports Via Yuvin Valorant Invitational

Tata Motors is officially entering Indian esports in partnership with Yuvin Esports Pvt. Ltd. The Yuvin Valorant Invitational (YVI) event is a result of the partnership between the automobile gain and Yuvin Esports. The event will feature eight Valorant teams who will compete in single-elimination format rounds leading up to best-of-three matches later in the event. The Yuvin Valorant Invitational event will kick off on 2nd Sept 2021 and concludes on 5th Sept 2021. Tata Motors is promoting its Tata Tiago NRG vehicle as part of the event. YVI will be streamed live in Hindi and English on the official Yuvin Esports YouTube channel.

Nikhil Kurian, Head of Digital Marketing, Tata Motors, PVBU, commented "The Indian Esports industry is growing at a very fast pace and is becoming a preferred choice of entertainment of young millennials and Gen Zs." Kurian is looking forward to the association with Yuvin and wants to promote esports in the region.

Yuvin Esports CEO and Founder, Sharang Naicker, revealed that the Yuvin Valorant Invitational is “the first of many events we have planned for massive esports enthusiasts community.” He added, "Tatas have adopted sports as an innovative development theme to generate positive socio-economic change in India" and he welcomed Tata Motors' entry into esports. Yuvin Valorant Invitational (YVI): Format and schedule

The event will take place from 2nd-5th September, with the entire bracket being played in a single-elimination bracket. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will feature best-of-three matches while the grand finals will have a best-of-five showdown between the top two teams.

• 4th September: Semi-Finals 1 & 2

• 5th September: Third-Place Decider & Grand Finale

The upcoming event will feature a prize pool of INR 100,000 ($1,350 USD) with INR 50,000 ($675 USD) being awarded for first place.
