Riot Games Introduces New Recon Skin Line for Valorant

Riot Games just introduced a new military-inspired skin line that offers visuals of fully kitted out guns. The new Recon Skin line will be available starting today (24th August) in the in-game store for 7,100 Valorant Points. Valorant Art Lead, Sean Marino, revealed, “Recon naturally was one of the more highly anticipated skins we were developing due to the fact that it has a butterfly knife. We always knew that this would be a thing we would give players and it was really incredible to see it all come together with this skin.” The butterfly knife melee skin has three color variants including red, blue, and green camouflage styles.

Riot Games revealed that the studio had a goal of base guns in Valorant to be realistic and with the new recon skin line, the studio wants to “dive into the experience that players get from games like PubG, Rainbow Six, and others to give that feeling of a fully kitted out gun with all the bells and whistles in attachments.”

Unlike a lot of other skin bundles like Ruination and Elderflame, the Valorant Recon Skin Line is more in tune with traditional shooters. Riot games designed these skins to make them feel more representative of something you might see in modern combat.
