Riot Games just announced the launch of Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story, a new rhythm game which is being developed by Choice Provisions. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch and PC on 16th November 2021. The game is a “rhythm runner” featuring League of Legends’ Yordle explosives specialist Ziggs.
What is Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story about?
Riot Forge describes the new title as a game where players must perform “bomb-jumps and bomb-attacks to the beat of a toe-tapping soundtrack, so as to avoid obstacles, disarm enemies, and light fuses for satisfyingly explosive chain reactions to achieve maximum mayhem.”
The game is developed by Riot Forge, a standalone initiative created by Riot Games to bring League of Legends experiences to new players and platforms. There are multiple studios partnered with the Riot Forge project to bring multiple spinoff titles to fans. Hextech Mayhem is the first officially licensed game by Riot Forge.
Riot Forge is also working on Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, which was announced last year. Fans expected Ruined King to release earlier considering Riot pushed the Sentinels of Light event across all of its titles. The event was focused on the origin of Viego, the Ruined King. After the end of the Sentinels of Light event, things have been quiet but Riot has promised an announcement about the upcoming single-player title “in the coming weeks.”
How much does Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story cost?
Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story is priced at $9.99 with regional pricing being applicable in select regions.
