Revenant Esports officially announced PUMA as its official team kit partner for the upcoming season. The deal marks PUMA’s official entry into the Indian esports industry. According to the agreement, players and content creators of Revenant Esports will get exclusive kits made by PUMA. Revenant Esports stated that the partnership is for the “upcoming season,” which does not clearly indicate how long it would last.

PUMA enters the Indian esports industry by collaborating with Revenant Esports

Rohit Jagasia, founder and CEO of Revenant Esports, said that Esports merchandise had become an integral part of the esports and gaming industry. He continued by saying that both companies hope to see great success in the upcoming years and capitalize on India’s expanding Esports culture.

Jagasia said, “Esports merchandise has become an integral part of the industry in the last few years and seeing our athletes, creators, and fans wear the apparel produced by one of the world’s best is a privilege. Together we hope to achieve immense success in the coming years and capitalize on the growing Esports culture in the country.”

Vishal Gupta, Executive Director-Retail, PUMA India, stated that India is one of the biggest markets for the video gaming community and competitive Esports. Following this, he mentioned that Esports is getting incorporated as a medal sport into the Asian Games next year, which is proof of the industry’s growing popularity.

Gupta said, “India is one of the biggest markets for the video gaming community, and competitive Esports is immensely influencing our youth across tiers. Esports getting incorporated as a medal sport into the Asian Games next year is evidence of its huge popularity & potential today." Later, he added, “With this association, Puma & Revenant will leverage each other’s huge audience base and wide reach to connect with Esports athletes in the country and penetrate deeper into the market.”

Although this is PUMA’s first business venture in India, it has a history of partnering with popular esports organizations. PUMA has also previously collaborated with international esports organizations, like GEN.G, Cloud9, Natus Vincere, EVOS Esports, and more.
