Apex Legends Season 10 is approaching quickly and Respawn Entertainment has started teasing the game’s next legend. A new video titled 'The Moth and The Flame' was just published by Respawn Entertainment on Twitter and some of the details in the video line up with voicelines that were leaked which we will discuss below. The name of the upcoming Season 10 legend is reportedly ‘Seer’ and we are yet to get an official reveal, but fans have been piecing together data-mined information and tying them up with what Respawn Entertainment has shown us so far with its teasers. Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming legend.
The Moth and The Flame Teaser
Respawn Entertainment posted this video earlier today on Twitter:
The teaser talks about a young princess who was blind and how she found love under the window of the room her parents locked her in. The video talks about how “His voice drifted through her window and wrapped around her heart and they fell in love. The young man asked her to keep a candle lit for him as he’d return that night to spirit her away. The king and queen, however, were listening, and out of fear of losing their daughter, they captured the young man and locked him away.”
In a recent Apex Uncut episode, Respawn Entertainment’s John ‘JayBiebs’ Larson referred to the new character as “he”, which might indicate that the character being teased in the video is the “young man” and not the blind princess.
Future chapters of The Moth and The Flame cinematics are likely to show up over the coming days and we will find out more about the Season 10 legend. Apex Legends is also known for its lore cinematics which are released ahead of legend releases but we might still be a couple weeks away from one. The new season is expected to release around 2nd August and the lore cinematic might be out by the end of this month.
There are some voice lines that were data-mined last month and they line up with what the developers teased earlier today in the video. The upcoming character has some references to a moth and it will be interesting to see how it translates to the character’s in-game abilities when he launches.
