Popular Indian Cosplayer Akanksha Sachan Passes Away Aged 29

One of the most popular cosplayers from India, Akanksha Sachan passed away a few days back on 2^nd August at 29 years of age following an anaphylactic shock to anesthesia.

She was among the more recognizable faces in the local and international cosplay industry, having represented India at the prestigious World Cosplay Summit 2018 which was held in Nagoya, Japan.

Akanksha had qualified for the event alongside her former cosplaying partner Aorin Shariyari, their duo was called Star Guardians and they used to cosplay together at events and competitions across India.

Cosplayer Akanksha Sachan Passes Away Due to Anaphylaxis During Anesthesia

The tragic news about Akanksha Sachan passing away came to the fore through those close to her, mainly friends and others associated with her via the cosplay industry.

Ayantika Chatterjee, shared a post on Facebook earlier today on 4^th August sharing, "This is not goodbye. This is thank you. For the moments we shared. The times we enjoyed through silly fun. It is really sad that you had to depart at such a young age. Rest in Peace one of the most talented cosplayer and WCS representative Akanksha Sachan. You will always be in my heart. May you find peace Sis."

She also mentioned that Akanksha passed away on 2^nd August and that they have been blessed by her presence in their lives.

The reason behind her demise was shared by Kuroo Coser, a novice cosplayer from India, via another post on Facebook shared earlier today on 4^th August.

In response to others asking the reason behind her passing away, it was revealed that Akanksha Sachan suffered an anaphylactic shock to anesthesia.

Anaphylaxis is a severe and potentially deadly allergic reaction. It is an unpredictable condition in which symptoms escalate rapidly after contact with a triggering agent. It can occur in someone with a known allergy or previous allergic reactions.

It results in rash or hives, swelling of the skin or mucosal surfaces, inflammation of the airways, and decreased blood pressure, which can lead to cardiovascular collapse.

Akanksha was a graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kolkata. Apart from being a cosplay artist, she was also a trained designer, seamstress, wig stylist, and makeup artist.

She referred to herself as a Delhi-based costumier for running her own business called Sachan Design, a luxury costume boutique that also offered embroidery design, custom print, and worldwide shipping.

The talented cosplayer was quite popular with more than 80,000 followers on Facebook and 30,000 followers on Instagram. She even attracted some audiences to her livestreams over on Twitch where she used to stream games and engage in crafting sessions.
