Penta Esports Announces INR 5,00,000 'Penta Challenge Valorant' Tournament

Newgen Gaming’s esports division ‘Penta Esports’, announced an upcoming Valorant esports events dubbed the ‘Penta Challenge – Valorant.’ The event is being supported by Facebook Gaming and Trinity Gaming and it is a part of Penta Esports’ newly launched IP ‘Penta Challenge.’ The event will take place from 5th to 24th October. Registrations for the event kicked off on 24th September. Teams will be able to register up until 8th October, 2021. The event will be streamed exclusively on the Penta Esports Facebook page. The event will coincide with the launch of the new Penta Esports platform which will feature match schedules, match results, VODs of tournaments and leagues, content, news, announcements, etc.

Penta Challenge – Valorant: Overview

Penta Esports founder and CEO Anurag Khurana told AFK Gaming that the new platform that is being launched by the company will allow players to find teams and also help teams to find prospective players for their rosters. Currently, the new Penta Esports platform will be home to events hosted by the organization only.

Khurana stated that Valorant as an esports title has grown exponentially in the country and that he can only see it only growing further. "In a mobile-first market like India, it would be safe to say that Valorant as a PC title has anchored itself as a strong contender in the esports space. We see the esports prospect of Valorant in the country only growing. With the mobile version of the game on the cards, Valorant will likely further solidify its position in the country as a leading esports title,” he added.

Penta Challenge – Valorant: Prize Pool

The upcoming Penta Challenge event will feature a prize pool of INR 5,00,000 ($6,750). The winning team will receive INR 2,25,000 ($3,050) and the team coming in second will receive INR 1,25,000 ($1,700). The top fragger at the grand finals will receive INR 10,000 ($135).

Penta Challenge – Valorant: Schedule and where to watch

The first open qualifier will kick off on 5^th October while the second open qualifier will kick off on 12^th October. The grand finals will take place on 24^th October, 2021. Two teams from each qualifier will make it to the main event along with four invited teams. All matches starting from the quarter-finals will be broadcasted on the Penta Esports Facebook Page.
