Overwatch 2 x Cowboy Bebop: Release Date, Skins, Trailer, More
Anime fans assemble!
Overwatch 2 has officially announced the collaboration with Cowboy Bebop, a popular Japanese neo-noir space western anime that originally ran from 18th September 1997 to 18th June 1998.
The crossover was initially noticed by community members during the trailer of Overwatch 2 Season 9 which was released on 13th February 2024.
This will be the second anime collaboration for Overwatch 2, having worked with One Punch Man in April 2023 which had introduced four skins for different heroes.
Overwatch 2 x Cowboy Bebop: Complete Details
Cowboy Bebop is one of the most celebrated anime series which was aired on TV between 1997 and 1998. It consists of only 26 episodes which were split into multiple seasons but still managed to achieve a lot of success internationally.
Since the original run, an anime film called Cowboy Bebop: The Movie was released in 2001 followed by a live-action television series called Cowboy Bebop in 2021 which is currently available on Netflix.
Overwatch 2 has struck a collaboration with Cowboy Bebop which is scheduled to go live on 12th March 2024, Tuesday and will be introducing five themed skins for different heroes.

Overwatch 2 x Cowboy Bebop skins will be released in Overwatch 2 for all players to observe on 11th March 2024, Monday with the main event going live one day later.
Players will have to purchase the skins to use them, however, the Wrecking Ball Ein Skin will be given away for free as part of the event, maybe as a reward for completing certain missions.
The crossover was initially teased during the last few seconds of the Overwatch 2 Season 9: Champions trailer which featured a greyscale shot of Route 66 along with a low shot of what seemed to be Cassidy in a Cowboy Bebop-themed skin, making him look a lot like protagonist Spike Spiegel.
The last few seconds of the trailer also featured the iconic opening song from the anime called Tank!. Tank! written by Yoko Kanno and performed by the Seatbelts.
