There will also be double XP weekends but the dates are yet to be announced.
A new patch will be available very soon which should address a lot of the issues that are still plaguing players.

After officially launching on 4th October, there are tons of players who are still experiencing issues when trying to play Overwatch 2. The game experienced a DDoS attack on launch day and the servers experienced yet more attacks recently, leaving players unable to access their items or play the game. While the game is in a playable state for most players at the moment, there are many who are unable to access their items or link their console accounts.

Overwatch 2 players will receive a legendary skin, double XP weekends, and more

The Blizzard Entertainment team is working on further stability updates and yet another patch will be deployed very soon as the developers continue to work on emergent issues and bugs. Recently, two heroes (Torbjorn and Bastion) were locked from competitive play because of game-breaking bugs and players are running into new error codes almost every other day. The game’s launch has been inconvenient for most players and Blizzard is offering compensation for the issues.

There will be several Double Match XP weekends incoming and the official dates for them will be announced very soon. Players can also claim a free Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary skin starting from 25th October as well as a Health Pack weapon charm.

How to claim the compensation rewards for Overwatch 2

Players simply need to log in to the game on or after 25th October once the rewards go live. Blizzard has not revealed an end date for the rewards but even new players who join the game after the rewards are out should also be able to claim them.

If you are more interested in the double XP weekends, keep an eye out on Blizzard’s social media accounts to know when they will take place. We recommend keeping an eye out for the official Overwatch Twitter account.

If you do not receive the rewards even after they have been distributed to players, you can reach out to Blizzard’s customer service team on the official BlizzardCS support channel to resolve the issue.
