Overwatch 2 Season 3 is coming to an end and players are eagerly waiting for the next season. The current season did not add a new hero, which was disappointing for a lot of fans but we have some exciting news to share. Overwatch 2’s newest hero is a support and we are also getting a brand new Battle Pass, Competitive Play changes and more. Here is everything you need to know about Overwatch 2 Season 4.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 Ranked Decay Removed

Season 4 is getting rid of rank decay and all past effects of rank decay will be reversed. So you might find yourself in a completely different rank depending on where the game thinks you should be placed.

For example, if you are a Master player who has not played in the past couple of seasons, you should find yourself in your “true” rank instead of your current decayed rank. This will prevent players from having to grind all roles in Role Queue every single season and can help with better matchmaking.

The game will also start displaying the average rank of the match at the end of each comp game. It is something that was visible at the start of games in Overwatch (2016) but was removed in Overwatch 2. While you will not be able to see the average team rank before a match begins, it is still a great change that players have been asking for.

Overwatch 2 New Hero: Lifeweaver

Lifeweaver is the newest hero in Overwatch 2 and he will be joining the Support category. Lifeweaver specializes in healing and protecting allies using his abilities. His Life Grip ability is essentially Roadhog’s Hook but it works only on allies on a long cooldown. To know more about Lifeweaver’s abilities, check out our ability breakdown of Lifeweaver.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 Battle Pass

A brand-new Battle Pass will be available next season and there are lots of cool new skins that will be available. Winston, Lifeweaver, Ashe and Doomfist are getting Legendary skins while Sigma is getting a customizable Mythic skin at level 80. Past level 80, you can earn a new set of Player Titles.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 Release Date

Overwatch 2 Season 4 is set to release on 11th April for all platforms.
