24 Entertainment has announced a $1.5 million world championship for Naraka: Bladepoint for all major regions.
There will be regional qualifiers featuring teams from across the globe which will lead up to a LAN main event.
The game takes a step away from traditional shooter Battle Royales and introduces melee combat into the mix, which has caught the attention of fans globally.

Naraka: Bladepoint developer, 24 Entertainment, just announced the game’s biggest esports event yet which will feature teams from all over the world. There will be regional qualifiers leading up to a world championship, which will feature a prize pool of $1.5 Million USD. The game mixes battle royale (BR) with fighting games, which is a breath of fresh air compared to the shooter BRs we have been getting over the past few years.

Naraka: Bladepoint World Championship Overview

We explored the game’s esports potential back in June 2021 ahead of its launch and found the idea of a melee BR promising. Naraka seems to have struck a chord with its playerbase very quickly. It is currently among the top ten games on Steam with over 80,000 concurrent players logging in during the past 24 hours.

The Naraka: Bladepoint World Championship (NBWC) is a global championship that will feature the best Naraka Masters from across the world. The game has already hosted events like the Morus Cup in North America and the Celestra Cup in Southeast Asia. NBWC can be regarded as the flagship esports event for Naraka, where players will need to compete in the regional competitions and make their way to the NBWC main event.

The NBWC will be a LAN event with players from all regions coming together to participate. 24 Entertainment has made it clear that players must prepare for vaccinations, visas and international travel and safety will be a priority for the organizers.
