Global Esports Girls Valorant Roster Open Tryouts – muffinloop 92 Kills recap
Following is the recap of the last best-of-three (Bo3) series of Global Esports Girls Valorant Roster Open Tryouts Day 1 on 29th October.
First Map – Bind
Muffinloop’s team (Team 1) did not have a great first half as defenders on Bind. The team was trailing in the 10-2 scoreline. Notably, muffinloop, who was playing Jett, also had an underwhelming KDA initially where she secured just eight kills, 11 deaths, and 0 assists (8/11/0) in the first half. However, Team 1 made a massive comeback in the second half as attackers and won the map with a scoreline of 12-12. Furthermore, muffinloop popped off in the second half and improved her KDA to 33/16/1 score, securing a whopping 25 kills in the last 12 rounds of the game.
Second Map – Haven
Both the teams showed excellent performance in the first half of Haven and equalized the score at 6-6. Muffinloop locked in a 17/7/2 score in the first 12 rounds. Going into the second half, both the teams went toe-to-toe but in the end, Team 2 won the map. However, muffinloop continued to shine as she showed a consistent performance and ended the map with a 31/14/3 score.
Third Map – Ascent
Team 1 showed an excellent performance in the first half of Ascent as defenders and led the 7-5 scoreline. Mufinloop again impressed everyone with her exceptional performance on Jett with 28 kills, eight deaths, and one assist (28/8/1). Unfortunately for Team 1, the opponent team had a massive comeback in the second half of Ascent and won the map with a 13-10 scoreline. However, Team 2’s victory did not mar muffinloop’s score. She had a 28/18/2 KDA on Ascent by the end of the decider match.
Muffinloop was the highest scorer of the first day with a score of 92/48/6, followed by Abisha “Baila” Joseph who had a score of 74/49/6. Even though muffinloop’s team lost the Bo3 series, muffinloop stood apart and made a mark in the series.
It is important to note that players will be evaluated based on their aim, game knowledge, how they communicate with teammates, temperament in different situations, and overall skills. Muffinloop's performance in the tryouts ticked all of the above mentioned boxes, and it will be interesting to see how Global Esports evaluates her play in the tryouts.
On the second day of the tryouts, eluwu showed up big time with an overall score of 81/56/13 in a Bo3 series, followed by muffinloop again where she amassed a KDA of 75/42/7.
