In a recent livestream, Popular YouTuber and former Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) pro player Naman “MortaL” Mathur revealed why he is not a part of Playground Season 2. MortaL was a part of Playground Season 1, but he was nowhere to be seen in the second season of the series.

Playground is a gaming and entertainment show. The first season of Playground featured four mentors, but the ongoing second season features five mentors. These five mentors will pick a team of four candidates that have qualified through tryouts. Each team will compete with the other in a series of mobile games, physical games, and more over the span of 28 days.

Following are the five mentors and their team names in Playground Season 2:

  • Ajey “CarryMinati” Nagar – Dare Dragons

  • Tanmay “Sc0utOP” Singh – OP Unicorns

  • Nischay “Triggered Insaan” Malhan – AAA Werewolves

  • Ashish Chanchlani – KO Krakens

  • Harish Beniwal – Power Phoenixes

MortaL is not a part of Playground Season 2 due to his less participation in Season 1

In his recent livestream, MoraL hosted a watch party for PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 (PMGC 2022). MortaL’s former teammate Yash “VipeR” Soni and Popular Pakistani YouTubers Jehanzeb “MrJayPlays” and Humera “LILY” were also a part of the watch party. During his watch party, Lily asked MortaL why he isn't a part of Playground Season 2. Responding to her, MortaL said, “In the first season of Playground, I showed very less participation.” He added, “Three to four months prior to the show, I was completely booked, and I also planned a trekking trip.” Following this, Lily asked MortaL if he would be a part of the forthcoming seasons of the show. Responding to this, MortaL revealed that he is not sure about it, but he will not be seen in the second season.

The first season of Playground received an exceptional response from the community as popular gamers and content creators were featured on the show. It featured Carryminati (Dare Dragons), Triggered Insaan (AAA Werewolves), MortaL (Power Phoenixes), and Sc0utOP (OP Unicorns) as mentors. Dare Dragons and Team Power Phoenixes were eliminated and could not reach the grand finals of the show. OP Unicorns and AAA Werewolves fought on the battleground of Call of Duty Mobile in the grand finals, and Team OP Unicorns emerged as the champions of Playground Season 1.
