During a recent livestream, Choudhury talked about Global Esports’ team dynamics. As the team consists of seven members, two players are usually benched during matches. Choudhury revealed that these benched players still receive a substantial salary, emphasizing the organization's commitment to fair compensation. “Two players received seven lakhs just for spectating,” he said.
To adhere to the minimum salary requirement for the Pacific region, which stands at 67,000,000 KRW (approximately INR 42 Lakhs per year or INR 3.5 lakhs per month), it is speculated that Global Esports' players are compensated at this base level. However, it is important to note that players may also be eligible for additional financial incentives, including signing bonuses, individual and team performance bonuses, streaming pay/splits, promotional/sponsorship opportunities, and various benefits.
Looking ahead, Global Esports is set to face off against Rex Regum Qeon in the upper bracket qualifiers, vying for a spot at the highly prestigious Valorant Champions.
