Leona Voice Lines Hints at More League of Legends High Noon Skins in the Works
On Tuesday, Riot Games unveiled several new League of Legends skins, including five new additions to its High Noon skin line. Leona, Varus, Mordekaiser, Katarina, and Talon are the five new champions who will be joining the High Noon universe with some slick new gear that boast unique visual and audio effects for the different abilities. One of these new additions, High Noon Leona indicates that Riot is planning to expand the “western” universe with even more additions in the near future.
Specifically, High Noon Leona’s voice interactions indicate that High Noon skins for Samira, Sion, Tahm Kench, Twitch, and Viktor could be in the works. Tahm Kench even appears in Leona's latest splash art with a crocodile-like appearance, which suggests these new additions are not too far away.
High Noon Leona Teases Five More Additions to High Noon Universe
The “Legendary” High Noon Leona skin has unique voice interactions (available via SkinSpotlights YouTube channel) when she “first encounters” 13 different champions from the same universe. Of these 13, five are yet to be released.
Currently, the High Noon skin line features skins for 18 champions. If we include the five skins that were added to the PBE earlier today and the five that seem to be on the horizon, we may see the High Noon universe expand to include 28 different champions in it making it one of the most diverse skin lines in League of Legends alongside the Pool Party and PROJECT skin lines.
Unfortunately, there are no signs of a High Noon skin for Rell, who many fans pointed out would have fit perfectly into the High Noon aesthetic (she even has a horse for crying out loud). Fans are claiming that Riot is prioritizing champions who seem to be popular in competitive and casual games over champions who actually fit the universe and its style.
Leona, Varus, Mordekaiser, Katarina, and Talon skins for High Noon will be available for purchase on the League of Legends store on 12th May, following the release of Patch 12.9. Until then, players will be able to test the skins in the PBE (Public Beta Environment). Depending on the feedback from the players, it will be tweaked and adjusted before it is finally released to the official servers.
Riot has also released a short story featuring Talon in the High Noon setting along with the skin line.“The Stranger on The Road” expands the lore of the universe and the battles between angels and demons.
