While League of Legends band K/DA has all the hype behind it these days, the game’s veterans will know of ‘Pentakill’, the original in-game band that released its first album back in 2014. After years of waiting, fans will finally get access to a brand-new album and the group may also have a new member, the Ruined King, Viego himself. The new album ‘Lost Chapter’ is set to debut on 8th September, and fans can check out the official album on Apple Music, Spotify, and Deezer for free.

Pentakill will launch up to 10 songs in ‘Lost Chapter’

Riot’s creative director, Christian “Praeco” Linke, revealed that a new album is in the works back in March 2020. He said at the time that the album was “just a thought”, but a year since the official confirmation from Praeco, the album is slated for release. Praeco told fans that Riot wants to keep the essence of Pentakill and keep things melodic and accessible while also adding something new to it.

Praeco said that Riot usually comes with a list of metal sub genres for Pentakill’s albums and works with ideas that sound appealing. In a Reddit thread, he confirmed that, “there will definitely be another Pentakill album that features original music. At least a handful, up to 10 or so. No idea, will see. Not sure yet when. We're definitely all eager to get back into it, but would think that it would take another few months to start at least.

We finally have official confirmation from Riot Games that the new album is launching. In addition to the new album, there will also be a bunch of new cosmetics that will be launching to commemorate the album.

The legends that will be getting new skins as part of the new album’s launch event include:

  • Mordekaiser

  • Kayle

  • Olaf

  • Sona

  • Yorick

The album cover features the Ruined King, Viego’s crown, and he may be added as the newest member of the band. Fans will have to wait until 8th Sept 2021, to check out the new album by League of Legends’ original in-game band.
