What is League of Legends Arcane?

Netflix and Riot Games are working together to bring Riot’s first animated series ‘Arcane’ to fans on 6th November, 2021. This will be Riot Games’ first TV series and it will feature Jinx and Vi, two of the oldest characters from League of Legends.

Brandon Miao, who is the Cross-Product Experiences and Partnerships Lead at Riot Experience revealed “Interest in deeper storytelling from our global player base played a big part in our decision to make Arcane, so it’s only right that they will be able to watch the first episode of Arcane together as a community. When designing the event, we wanted to blend traditional entertainment with innovative, digital-first approaches that increase access for players around the world, creating something new for people to enjoy together."

While the first episode of Arcane can be co-streamed on Twitch, fans will have to catch up on the other episodes on Netflix. The upcoming series will be available on the streaming platform in three acts. All three acts will include three episodes each set to release next month. The series will also be available on Tencent Video for fans in China.

Based on the world of League of Legends, Arcane dives into the delicate balance between the rich city of Piltover and the underbelly of Zaun. The upcoming series focuses on the creation of hextech, a way for any person to control magical energy, which threatens the balance of power. While Arcane holds the backstories of League of Legends champions, the series is designed to stand on its own as a complex world filled with moral decisions.

League of Legends Arcane: Where to watch

The series will be available exclusively on Netflix. Fans can watch it once it launches on 6th November.
