Indian Streaming Platform Loco Named Among Global “Next Hottest Products” by Amplitude

Global product analytics company Amplitude published its list of global “Next Hottest Products” and Loco was included on the list as the only Indian gaming company. The list of companies by Amplitude includes products and companies that have put the digital customer experience as the core of their business strategies. Despite the slow economy, these products have seen over 40% growth in year-over-year monthly active users. 

Loco has seen 900% growth in daily active users over the last year

From June 2021 to June 2022, Loco has seen a 900% growth in daily active users and its live watch hours figure has grown by 19 times during the time period. The full list of companies and products in Amplitude’s Next Hottest Products list includes 30 fast-growing digital products and companies from North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. 

The Next Hottest Products are selected from aggregated, anonymized monthly user data sent to the Amplitude platform during a 13-month period, from June 2021 to June 2022. To be included in this year’s list, products must have met a minimum of 10,000 monthly active users at the start of the analysis period. All companies included must have been privately held as of June 2021. 

Loco Founder Anirudh Pandita commented on the inclusion of Loco in the global list stating that the team at Loco “is delighted that Loco has made Amplitude’s “Next Hottest Product” List. To be named in the top 30 list globally underlines the tremendous growth we have witnessed at Loco over the last year. He praised the product and technology teams in India and mentioned that he recognizes the work of each individual who works in those teams. The long-term goal of Loco is to become the leading independent game streaming platform globally. 

Loco has been a pioneer in live game streaming and esports in India and it has turned the niche hobby into a mainstream interest. It also launched India’s first non-fungible token (NFT) platform for esports and has become the biggest backer of esports tournaments in the country. The streaming platform has partnered with some of the biggest gaming industry giants like NBA 2K League, Red Bull, Logitech-G, Riot Games, Activision and more.
