India Mobile Congress 2022: All You Need to Know

The India Mobile Congress 2022 will take place between 1st and 4th October, featuring multiple sub-events throughout the main event. The event aims at showcasing the latest technological innovations and trends in the industry. The biggest highlight of the India Mobile Congress this year is that the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, will inaugurate the event and launch 5G Services in India on 1st October. To showcase the possibilities of the new 5G technology and the “future of gaming,” JioGames and Jio True 5G will feature LAN tournaments of multiple games in the event.

India Mobile Congress 2022 to feature 5G LAN tournaments

JioGames and Jio True 5G, at India Mobile Congress 2022, will showcase the improvements that 5G will bring to the gaming industry at the event. As a part of the showcase event, JioGames and Jio True 5G have organized LAN tournaments of multiple games.

Many people expect the event to feature BGMI, but it won’t happen as the game is blocked in India under Section 69A of the IT Act 2000.

Jio has also invited various creators and streamers from across the country to experience 5G firsthand. Following is the list of all invited creators and streamers.

Furthermore, the event will also feature a cosplay competition at 12 pm - 4 pm on 4th October.

Sunil Mittal, Mukesh Ambani, and Kumar Mangalam Birla, three stalwarts of the telecom industry, will also be a part of the event and make a keynote speech at the India Mobile Congress 2022.

In a recent Tweet, Reliance Jio called out all the tech enthusiasts and gamers to experience the capabilities of 5G at the IMC 2022.

“You are invited for the first Jio True 5G demonstration at India Mobile Congress. Join us and experience the new possibilities of 5G technology for India & all Indians. 1-4 October, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.”
