International Esports Federation (IESF) has partnered with an Indian company, Big Bang Media Ventures (BBMVPL), to launch the inaugural season of the Asia Open Esports Championship (Asia Open). The championship will start on 30th January and conclude on 15th March 2023. The Asia Open Esports Championship will see the participation of close to 40 countries across Asia & the Middle East to provide gamers with a platform to compete and build communities on the international stage.
IESF to inaugurate Asia Open Esports Championship with Big Bang Media Ventures
The inaugural season of the Asia Open Esports Championship will be played in an online setting. It will feature four titles, Including the popular eFootball and PES. Unlike other tournaments, the Asia Open Esports Championship aims for ‘esports-for-all’ and will offer a platform for players with all levels of skill sets. The championship will have three skill-based categories; amateurs, mid-core, and professionals.

Big Bang Media Venture is owned by Madhu Mantena, a famous Bollywood producer, and Ravneet Gill, a banker and entrepreneur. Big Bang Media Venture has also revealed that it will be launching multiple large format tournaments in partnership with gamers, creators, designers and coders in Asia and the Middle East in the near future.
