League of Legends players can now vote in the annual Visual Gameplay Update (VGU) poll for Season 12. Five champions have been added to the poll for a potential rework and you can choose between Kog’Maw, Nocturne, Shyvana, Skarner, and Tryndamere. For those who are new to the VGU polls, Riot Games revamps the kits of “outdated” champions and brings them up to the standard seen in newly released characters. Udyr is due to receive a rework in 2022 and the poll will decide which other champion will receive the visual gameplay overhaul.
League of Legends Season 12 VGU Overview
Previous VGUs have led to the much loved reworks for Dr Mundo, Volibear and other outdated champions. The five champions shortlisted for Season 12 include:
Kog’Maw
Nocturne
Shyvana
Skarner
Tryndamere
Nocturne, Shyvana and Skarner are three junglers that have been included in a previous poll but none of them made the cut. Shyvana is one of the strongest contenders with the champion being featured in both 2020 and 2021’s poll and the half-dragon might finally receive the much needed rework.

Most VGU reworks are not released until Q4 and we can expect this year’s rework to follow suit and be available sometime between September and December 2022.
