Global Esports CEO Acknowledges Challenges Ahead of VCT 2023 LOCK//IN, Vows to Give 200% Effort

Rushindra Sinha, the founder and CEO of Global Esports, stated that his expectations for the organization's Valorant roster in the upcoming Valorant Champions Tour 2023 LOCK//IN São Paulo is to win, but acknowledged that the newly formed team may take some time to gel and perform at their best due to cultural differences and lack of time playing together. He also mention that the tournament may not be the best showcase of Global Esports, but that the team aims to prove its potential and put in their best effort.

In a recent livestream, Sinha explained that his expectations for Global Esports in the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN in São Paulo, Brazil was to win. "Our expectations are always to win. This hopium and copium have brought us till here," he said. He added, "We have to be very realistic and know that the team hasn't got a chance to play together as a roster in one room at all like all seven players have not been in one room ever in their life. A lot of these players haven't seen each other or met each other. They met each other for the first time in the last few weeks. So it will take some time."

Sinha acknowledged that there are cultural differences and this could mean that players need more time to build synergy. "There are some cultural differences, and they need time to build synergy. They are all duelists, as you know, so we are working on a few things. It is going exactly as planned, but it will take some time to show its full effect. So that synergy and everything else is going to take some time to set in, and that value will come," he said.

Sinha went on to add, "Brazil (VCT 2023 LOCK//IN) may not be it. That's all I'm going to say. You're going to see a lot of potential in the Global Esports squad in Brazil. Kinetic energy (progress) - probably you'll see more in Korea after Brazil, once all players are in one place."

Sinha stated that Global Esports' goal is to prove its potential and "crack heads" at the global level in VCT 2023 LOCK//IN, and it won't aim for anything less. "Every single person has to give it their 200 percent. Otherwise, why are we even doing this? Why are we wasting time, slot, money, and opportunity? So our goal is to give our 200 percent, we are not going to settle for anything less, and neither are our players," he added.

Global Esports’ Valorant players have not been able to play the game from a bootcamp due to visa issues. As a result, Global Esports was exploring bootcamp options in visa-neutral locations. The team was supposed to prepare for the VCT 2023 LOCK//IN tournament in Brazil moving to the South Korean bootcamp but unfortunately that did not take place. They are planning to move to the South Korean bootcamp after the tournament but no updates have been given about the alternate bootcamp.
