The event is making a return in 2023 with double the prize pool ($30 Million USD). Last year’s event saw over 1.4 million visitors representing 61 different nationalities and a total viewership of 132 Million. Things are expected to get even bigger this year and the Saudi Esports Federation is preparing for the event’s inauguration on 6th July.
Everything you need to know about Gamers8: The Land of Heroes
Gamers8’s 2023 season is being called ‘The Land of Heroes’. The event will span across eight weeks with hundreds of esports players across the globe set to compete in the upcoming event. Dota 2 Riyadh Masters, which was one of the biggest Dota 2 events of last year was hosted as part of Gamers8 and we can expect the game to make a return along with some of the biggest esports titles in the industry.
Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation, said in the official press release, “Gamers8: The Land of Heroes is going to be the destination this summer, and we are delighted to once again welcome the elite of the esports world to Riyadh. The Land of Heroes is the place for both esports champions competing for glory and gaming fans looking to write their own stories.”
The event is teasing not only competitive esports but also live music from star names, as well as festivals, shows, community gaming, education platforms, and fun-filled activities for all ages.
Gamers8: The Land of Heroes will conclude in a similar style to last year's event with the Next World Forum, an esports and gaming forum that will bring together sector leaders and experts from around the world to host discussions around the buzzing esports industry. More details about the competition and registration links for individual esports competitions will be available as we get closer to the event.
