Anne ‘mamabenjyfishy’ Fish, mother of Fortnite player Benjy ‘benjyfish’ Fish, has joined Galaxy Racer.

Anne ‘mamabenjyfishy’ Fish, who is the mother of Galaxy Racer (GXR)'s professional Fortnite player, Benjy ‘benjyfish’ Fish, has been signed as a content creator at the same organization as her son. GXR claims that she is the first-ever mother of a pro gamer to be signed under a major esports organization. As a content creator, mamabenjyfishy will be streaming Fortnite and will also be creating educational content on YouTube. Anne, who participated in the recently concluded GXR Aubameyang Cup, finished top 50 at the event, which led her to be presented with a contract by Galaxy Racer.

Who is ‘mamabenjyfishy’?

Mamabenjyfishy is the manager for her son, benjyfishy. She has over 900,000 followers worldwide and is both a competitive gamer and a content creator. The signing of mamabenjyfishy comes after an informal agreement with her and Galaxy Racer while competing at Galaxy Racer’s most recent Fortnite tournament, the Aubameyang Cup, where it was agreed if she placed in the top 50, the esports organisation would offer her an official content creator contract.

In addition to being a mother, a competitive gamer, and content creator, she is also part of the Coalition of Parents in Esports (COPE). She works as an advisor at the organization and she educates parents about esports and how children can gain transferable skills for gaming, which can help them in other industries and sectors.

Mamabenjyfish is joining Galaxy Racer’s roster of content creators which has a global reach of 330 million followers. She said during the official announcement, “I am excited to be the newest addition to the Galaxy Racer content creator team. Being a mum and manager of a professional gamer, I hope my knowledge and experience will help educate players and other parents about the positive aspects of esports.”
