After 3-2 victory against Northeption, FULL SENSE is headed to Valorant Champions as the third team to represent Southeast Asia. FS will be joining Team Secret (former Bren Esports roster) and X10 Esports later this year. Tonight’s finals between FS and Northeption were full of intense moments, especially in game three where the match lasted for 34 rounds. Chanawin “JohnOlsen” Nakchain and Kititkawin “PTC” Rattanasukol were standout performers for FS at the grand finals, with both players securing over 100 kills each.
FULL SENSE vs Northeption Recap
Match 1 (Northeption won 13-9)
Despite taking a lead in the first half, FULL SENSE failed to capitalize on its advantage and Northeption ended up winning the game 13-9. The second half was completely one-sided with NTH winning 8-2 with FS performing poorly in defense.
Match 2 (FULL SENSE won 13-11)
FULL SENSE had a dominant 10-2 lead in the first half and only needed to win three more rounds in the later half of the match. However, Northeption had a 9-2 scoreline in the second half and almost won its second game.
Match 3 (Northeption won 18-16)
It was the most eventful game of the night with NTH’s Tenta “Ten” Asai pulling off one clutch after the other on Raze. While FULL SENSE performed well in attack rounds, the players were unable to maintain their composure in defense rounds and it is something the team will need to resolve if it hopes to win Champions later this year.
Match 4 (FULL SENSE won 13-7)
With just one map win away from a victory Northeption looked desperate but the team simply could not keep up with FULL SENSE’s relentless attack in the second half as the Thai team put on their best performance yet. JohnOlsen was a menace for Northeption with an impressive average combat score of 309 and 22 kills.
Match 5 (FULL SENSE won 13-8)
It came down to a game of nerves as both teams were tied 2-2 in the series and the last game on Haven decided everything. Northeption took an early 7-5 lead in the first half but it was a complete turn of events in the second half with FULL SENSE winning eight rounds and losing just one.
FULL SENSE vs Northeption Highlights
FULL SENSE’s PTC and JohnOlsen were unstoppable today with both players coming in clutch and winning rounds in adverse situations. The duo crossed 300 kills each throughout the event, a feat that was not matched by anyone else.
SEA will have three representatives at Valorant Champions while Asia’s other regions Japan and Korea will have just one each. It is a great opportunity for X10 Esports, Team Secret and APAC LCQ Champions FULL SENSE to put Southeast Asian Valorant on the map on the global stage and potentially clinch the world championships.
