FaZe Swagg Says Warzone 2 Is “Worlds Better Than What We Played Two Months Ago”

Warzone 2 is set to launch next week (16th November) and there is a lot of hype surrounding the revamped version of Activision’s battle royale title. The game is getting a new map, several gameplay changes, an engine update, and an Escape From Tarkov-style DMZ (De-militarized Zone) mode. FaZe Clan’s Kris “Swagg” Lamberson got his hands on Warzone 2.0 and the new DMZ mode and he thinks that Activision has stepped up its game and is offering a much better experience compared to the original Warzone.
Swagg’s thoughts on Warzone 2 and the DMZ mode
Swagg revealed, in a new video on his YouTube channel, that “Warzone is worlds better than what we played two months ago, I had a blast.” He talked about the new Al Mazrah map and said he loves the vertical nature of the map and the diverse points of interest (POIs). He hoped for dynamic seasons but the map does not have anything like that yet. But we can expect the map to evolve over time as we move from one Season to another.
But not everything is perfect according to Swagg. The new Gulag system does not feel as fun, according to him. He said, “The 2v2 system does not work. I think that the Gulag was such a simple thing and it was very fast to get people back into the game.” He does not want 2v2 to be kept in the game and wants it removed.
The Buy Stations attract a lot of teams and players end up not going to points of interests that do not have the stations. The loot system needs to change according to Swagg for a better experience. He said, “When you hot drop, you’ve got to open the bag, and then you got to pick a gun. It’s just a lot and it’s very clunky.”
Despite some areas of the game requiring improvements, Swagg is happy with the content coming with Warzone 2.0. The new DMZ mode is also exciting but there is no incentive to play the game mode just yet. If the developers add rewards it might be one of the fresh new game modes that players can try out as an Escape From Tarkov alternative. Tarkov is a paid title whereas Warzone will provide a similar extraction shooter experience to players for free in Activision’s latest iteration of Warzone.
