Evil Geniuses is heading into the 2023 season of Valorant Champions Tour with a massive roster featuring seven players who will be led by former player Christine “potter” Chi who is currently in charge of coaching the team. Former XSET player Brendan “BcJ” Jensen and former 100 Thieves and NRG player Ethan “Ethan” Arnold are joining the existing roster from the 2022 season and we will see the team debut next year at the kickoff event in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Evil Geniuses’ competitive Valorant roster for 2023
Here is what Evil Geniuses’ Valorant roster looks like:
Kelden “Boostio” Pupello
Jeffrey “Reformed” Lu
Alexander “jawgemo” Mor
Corbin “C0M” Lee
Vincent “Apotheon” Le
Ethan “Ethan” Arnold
Brendan “BcJ” Jensen
Except for Ethan and BcJ, the rest of the roster competed in the 2022 season of the Valorant Champions Tour under the Evil Geniuses banner. The organization is not replacing any of its existing players and has chosen to make two new additions instead. The starting lineup of the team is yet to be finalized but we can expect the team to try out new lineups at the start of the season.
During the 2022 season, Evil Geniuses had solid performances in North America but it was not up to the mark to compete at international events. With Ethan and BcJ being added to the roster, the team will be looking to qualify for next year’s world championships.
Former 100 Thieves player Ethan had a solid start to his Valorant career and was regarded as one of the best players in North America during the 2021 season. But after 100 Thieves failed to meet expectations, he was let go by his team along with other key players. He moved on to NRG but did not find much success there either.
BcJ was a key player for XSET and helped it become one of the most consistent teams in North America. XSET was one of the best teams this year but it could not secure a spot in next year’s franchise league which is why BcJ chose to move on. The upgraded Evil Geniuses Valorant roster will debut in February 2023 as we head into the kickoff event in Brazil.
