Update: Riot Games have confirmed that Bren Esports will not be competing in the VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin due to visa complications.

Filipino team Bren Esports qualified for Valorant Masters Berlin last month and was set to compete against the likes of Sentinels and 100 Thieves for a spot at the Valorant Champions main event. However, things may have taken an unfortunate turn for the team as rumors of the team’s visas being denied surfaced online. The hashtag #BringBRENToBerlin was trending in the Philippines as local Valorant fans tried to draw attention to the issue and potentially find a resolution. Bren Esports is yet to officially comment on the situation and has not released any official information regarding the visa denial rumors.

Without any context, Bren Esports posted a sad face emoji and the #BringBRENToBerlin hashtag on Twitter but quickly removed the tweets. It is unknown by the esports organization removed the tweets and the organization is yet to comment on the issue. In a post by the Esports Inquirer talking about the issue, Bren Esports' official Facebook page commented that the issue is not official yet.

Bren Esports was the first Filipino squad to qualify for Valorant Masters Berlin and the team is scheduled to compete at the Verti Music Hall in Berlin, Germany. The event kicks off on 9 September, 2021 and the grand finals of Masters 3 Berlin will take place on 19 September. The team is grouped with Sentinels, a team that many regard as the best in the world.The team was one of the dominant forces in South-East Asian VCT Challengers events. Bren defeated Paper Rex 3-0 in the SEA playoffs and qualified for Stage 3 Masters. It remains to be seen how Riot Games handles the issue if the rumors of Bren Esports’ visas being declined are true.
