Level Infinite caught the attention of the gaming community by announcing the merger between Arena of Valor and Honor of Kings for 2022’s Arena of Valor World Cup (AWC). Fans predicted that it would bolster the competition and enable the publisher to host bigger events and that seems to be the case with a $10 million prize pool for AWC 2022 being announced today.

The event will enable the return of regional events and fans will also get to witness content-creator-only events throughout 2022. Here is everything that was announced by Level Infinite for 2022’s Arena of Valor esports calendar.

Regionals are making a return in 2022

The path to pro for Arena of Valor esports in 2022 will start at the grassroots level. Players will be able to sign up for the Amateur leagues and make their way through to the Semi-Pro and Pro Leagues, which lead to the Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) featuring a prize pool of $2 million. But to make it to the top, teams will have to compete within their respective regions and earn championship points.
