Shadow Royale is one of Apex Legends’ most popular game modes and it’s making a return as part of the Fight or Fright event on 4th October. Respawn Entertainment announced an entire month of fun game modes that will rotate over four weeks. Gun Run and Control will also be making a return and once the event ends, we will see the launch of Apex Legends Season 15. There is also a Timed Event that is coming to Control featuring Mobile Respawn Beacons.

Four limited-time modes are coming to Apex Legends in October

Apex Legends Shadow Royale is a chaotic version of the standard battle royale mode as players can have infinite revives and there are AI-controlled dog-like beasts called Prowlers that can assist you when you are the last surviving member. Here is everything you need to know about the new game mode and how you can play it.

The biggest change from the standard battle royale modes is that as long as you have one surviving member on your team, dead allies can respawn as zombies. When in zombie form, you will not be able to equip weapons or armor. However, you get a boost to your melee damage and range, and you can also double jump and wall ride.

Here is the schedule of all the limited-time modes coming to Apex Legends in October.

  • Shadow Royale on Olympus After Dark map: 4th to 11th October.

  • Gun Run on Estates After Dark, Skulltown, and Fragment East: 11th to 18th October.

  • Control on Lava Siphon, Barometer, and Labs After Dark: 18th to 25th October.

  • Shadow Royale on Olympus After Dark: 25th October to 1st November.

Control is getting a few changes with the addition of a new Timed Event using Mobile Respawn Beacons (MRB). Players can fight for an MRB and create temporary spawn points for the entire team. The bonus capture events now offer 200 points instead of 100.

Unlike previous Shadow Royale events, normal Trios and Duos modes will continue to be available and will not be replaced during the event. Control and Gun Run will also be available in separate Play tabs in the main menu.
