Highlights
Apex Legends Fight or Fright 2021 will not feature an heirloom this year but it will offer both free and paid legendary skins that players can obtain.
The event is set to kick off on 12th October 2021 and it should be live for about two weeks.
Shadow Royale may also be making a return but it is unknown which map will get the night-version this year.

Apex Legends’ annual Fight or Fright event is set to make a return later this month to celebrate Halloween. While the first iteration of the event had its fair share of issues, the 2020 version of Shadow Royale was well received in the community and hopefully it will make a return this year. Shadow Royale is a limited-time game mode that enables wall running in Apex Legends and it gives unlimited lives to players as long as one teammate is alive. In addition to the Shadow Royale mode, there should also be limited-time skins, earnable items exclusive to this year’s Fight or Fright event along with more. Here is everything we know about Apex Legends Fight or Fright 2021.

When is Apex Legends Fight or Fright 2021 releasing

Apex Legends Fight or Fright 2021 is expected to kick off on 12th October 2021. It will be the final event of the season and it should last for approximately two weeks.

What to expect from Apex Legends Fight or Fright

The normal battle royale mode was replaced by Shadow Royale last year which allowed dead players to respawn as zombies and support their teammates. If two teammates died, an AI-controlled Prowler (zombie dog) would join as well. Respawn Entertainment typically adds a night-time version of a map. We have received King’s Canyon in both Halloween events so far and things might get changed this year.

In addition to the limited time game mode, there will be monster-themed skins coming to the event as per the leaks. Revenant and Bloodhound skins were leaked earlier this year and they are likely to be added as part of the Halloween event. Apex leaker Garret has shown off some skins that are potentially coming to the game but there is no official confirmation yet.

Since we have already received an heirloom for Rampart this year, a Collection event with an exclusive heirloom is unlikely to show up as part of the Halloween celebrations. Free skins, badges and battle pass levels should also be earnable during Fight or Fright just like the previous events in Apex Legends this year.
