Apex Legends Catalyst: Lore, Abilities and Release Date

Catalyst is Apex Legends’ next legend who will debut in Season 15 next month. The new season should also introduce tons of balance updates, a new map, new Arena maps, events, and more. There are many leaks suggesting that Catalyst is actually Crypto’s sister who has been missing all this while. She and Crypto might finally be reunited in the Apex Games and we cannot wait to see how the lore of the game expands.

Apex Legends Catalyst Lore

Catalyst might be a codename for Crypto’s sister Mila who was presumed dead. In “Web of Lies” which was the seasonal quest for Season 14, it was revealed that Mila is still alive and she may be joining the Apex Games soon.

There was mention of the “prediction algorithm” that led to Mila and Crypto being hunted down. There are references to “The Witch” and “The High Priestess” tarot cards that are being used as teasers to hype up the legend’s release and players are predicting that Mila is Catalyst.

However, the image that is floating around showcasing the legend is actually a concept art and not the actual design of the legend.

Apex Legends Catalyst Abilities

Here are all of the known abilities for Catalyst. Do note that these might be changed before release and all the information we have so far is based on leaks from the community.

• Reinforce (Passive) - Standing near your ferrofluid structures, doors, and other Legends placeables will strengthen their integrity and allow them to take significantly less damage.

• Ferro Shot (Tactical) – On impact, the shot creates a ramp of hardened ferrofluid that can be extended with more shots. Can also be used to create platforms on walls (Max 3 structures).

• Ultimate: Iron Tower – Ferro fluid rises up from below, pushing you upwards while creating a tall solid column under you.

Apex Legends Catalyst Release Date

Apex Legends Season 15 is expected to release on 1st November with a brand-new map, balance changes, and more. Catalyst will be available to unlock on day one with Apex Coins or Legend Tokens.
