Apex Legends Announces Season 12 and Three-Year Anniversary Event

Apex Legends just announced Season 12 with a brand-new trailer as well as rewards for the third anniversary of the game. It’s a good time for new players to hop on to Apex Legends because the game is offering three characters that you can unlock without grinding for Legend Tokens, a currency needed to obtain legends. Starting 8th February, players will get access to the three-year anniversary content as well as Season 12 which includes a new legend and a reprised Olympus map.

Apex Legends Season 12 Overview

Season 12 will launch with a new 9v9 Control mode where players face off against each other with infinite respawns. Players will also be able to unlock Mad Maggie, the game’s newest legend.

Mad Maggie’s passive in the trailer looks similar to Bangalore’s Double Time, as she goes berserk when taking damage. She also has a teleport portal and a rolling bomb as her other abilities but we do not have any official information on her kit’s cooldowns just yet.

Olympus is also making a return next season with changes to the map. There will be new gameplay elements, points of interest and seasonal quests which players can experience throughout the next major update. The new Defiance battle pass will also be available with new challenges to unlock exclusive rewards like Legendary skins, Holo Sprays and more.

Apex Legends’ 3rd Anniversary will offer three legends for free

Here are all of the rewards that you will get when playing during the next anniversary:

Week 1 (8th to 15th February): Octane plus Three Thematic Packs

Week 2 (15th to 22nd February): Wattson plus three Thematic Packs

Week 3 (22nd February to 1st March): Valkyrie plus three Thematic Packs and one Legendary Pack.

Respawn may also host a Collection event similar to last year with a chance to unlock 150 Heirloom shards as the season progresses. During the last two anniversary events, players also got access to exclusive login rewards with day one, week one, and first-month players getting special badges.
