It’s time to celebrate the fifth year of Apex Legends. To commemorate the game's milestone, Respawn Entertainment has a lot of exciting things to look forward to. From a brand-new game mode to a Collection Event featuring Heirloom Shards, there is a lot to look forward to this year in Apex Legends.
Apex Legends 5th Anniversary: New Limited-Time Mode
A brand new LTM (Limited Time Mode) is coming to Apex Legends just in time for our celebration. Get the same action and excitement you get in Trios, but faster with the arrival of Straight Shot. The game mode features 30 players instead of 60 for faster matches.
Apex Legends 5th Anniversary: Rewards Tracker
For the third consecutive year, Respawn has another community-created reward tracker created by amazing Community Artists who teamed up with some of your favorite creators. Thanks to them, you’ll be able to unlock some of the most amazing cosmetics during our celebration event. Complete challenges and earn items like a Ballistic skin, a loading screen, gun skins, event packs, and more exciting cosmetics.

Apex Legends 5th Anniversary: Squad Set Cosmetics
To celebrate the anniversary, Respawn has recolored some fan favorite skins that are used as squad leaders to inspire new Legendary looks for our other Legends including Catalyst’s “Lunar Elegance”, Pathfinder’s “Retro-bot”, Mirage’s “Tin Man”, and more.
Apex Legends 5th Anniversary: Collection Event
Much like last year, if you complete the Anniversary Collection you’ll automatically receive 150 Heirloom Shards to unlock the Heirloom or Prestige Skin of your choice. Do note that you will get a couple of free Event packs during the Collection event which brings down the cost of getting the Heirloom shards significantly.
There will also be a new Event Store where there will be lots of special offers throughout the event including discounts on the Collection Event Packs.
You will see bundles like the “Fashion Forward Bundle”, “Soulless Sentry Bundle”, and the “Low Profile Bundle.” In addition to the new Event Store, you can expect a sale on our previous anniversary squad skins as well as the Valentine’s Day Sale!
