In a recent livestream, Team SouL’s coach Amit “Amit” Dubey stated that when players are given the responsibility of the team’s performance, their gameplay undergoes a significant change.
He mentions that additional responsibilities, such as streaming, team tag, and more, can overwhelm the players with responsibilities.
He stated that players could achieve better outcomes when relieved of these responsibilities, and the competition is made fair and even.

Team SouL’s Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) coach Amit “Amit” Dubey recently discussed the impact of responsibilities on players’ performance. He stated bearing responsibilities for the team’s performance might hinder the players’ performance. Furthermore, additional responsibilities, such as streaming, team tag, and more, can overwhelm the players. He added that players can deliver better results when free of these burdens and when the competition is made fair and even.

Amit explains how responsibilities can hinder players’ performance

In a recent livestream, Amit spoke about the effects of responsibilities on players’ performance. He explained when players are given the responsibility of the team’s performance, their gameplay undergoes a significant change. The added pressure of performing well for the team can lead to changes in how they approach the game, making them more cautious. He pointed out that in certain situations where the players have nothing to lose but everything to gain, they can perform exceptionally well.

Amit noted that when players are assigned additional responsibilities such as streaming, team tag, or more, it can distract them from their main focus of playing the game. As a result, their gameplay may become constrained and less effective. However, he added that when players are free of such burdens and the competition is on an even keel, they can play more openly and with greater confidence. This enables them to showcase their true potential and deliver better results.

Amit explained that when a player is livestreaming and thousands of viewers are watching the stream, the pressure to perform can be overwhelming. If the player gets eliminated from the game early, he not only loses viewership but also risks being tagged by other players and receiving hate from viewers. “If he gets eliminated early in every match, he himself will feel bad about it. These are three things, and these are all true. You must perform at this stage, there is no other option,” he added.

Team SouL signed its latest BGMI roster in March 2023, and since then, it has proven itself as one of the best BGMI teams in the country. The team has won the BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) and also represented Indian on the global stage of the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022.
