All Valorant Premier Stage E8A2 Updates: No Signup, Avoid Rematch, More
Is your five stack ready?
Valorant is set to introduce several changes to Premier in the upcoming Episode 8 Act 2 which is scheduled to release on 5th March. The initial response by the community towards these new features have been quite positive.
The list of changes for Valorant Premier Stage E8A2 highlighted by the developers includes Rematch Protection, Playoff Results, No More Enrollment, Immediate Division Placement, and Zone Flexibility.
Valorant has taken its time to build Premier from scratch as the foundation for new players and teams to enter the competitive scene, continuing its efforts to better the product with each season.
Valorant Premier Stage E8A2: All Upcoming Updates
Valorant has developed Premier as a seamless path-to-pro system, integrated with the game beautifully. It allows casual and aspiring players to team up, all set to grind their way up the ladder by engaging in weekly matches with opponents from their division.
Every week teams compete on a particular map to earn points, get drawn into a single-elimination playoffs bracket if they earn enough points to qualify for it, and then try to win it to move ahead.
While keeping the core working of Premier unchanged, Valorant has introduced a few changes for Stage E8A2.
Rematch Protection
During a particular Stage, two teams will now face each other only once. A new system has been introduced which will prevent same teams from meeting each other twice, thus improving competitive integrity.
Playoff Results
From the next Stage onwards, standings will show players all playoff results as soon as those matches finish. This is another small step towards improving transparency and making the very foundations of the competitive circuit robust.
No More Enrollment
Gates are now open for all players to create a team at any point during a particular Stage and start competing. This is huge because earlier there was a dedicated registration period ahead of a season and chances were high for many to miss out on the opportunity.
Immediate Division Placement
Players will now be able to see their Provisional Division immediately after creating their team. However, it will still be liable to changes with switches in roster or zone.
Remember that once the first match is played the Provision Division will be locked in.
Zone Flexibility
Teams that have enrolled can now change their Zone at any time during a Stage before they play their first match.
Do keep in mind, that once the first match has been played in any region of that team's choice, the option to change it will be locked and they will have to stay put.
The sum of all these changes coming to Valorant Premier Stage E8A2 will provide teams with more flexibility to jump in and out of the season, while granting them more transparency to keep tabs on their progress, improving overall competitive integrity of the system, and making everything a bit more seamless.
